Function
In addition to their other job responsibilities, The ACE Manager is responsible for the overall daily operation of the ACE.
Organizational Relationship
Reports to the Dean of Student Success who reports to the Vice President of Student Services who reports to the President of the College.
Position Qualifications
Required
Associates degree
Two years of relevant work experience.
Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
Demonstrated commitment to student learning
Demonstrated ability to interact successfully with faculty, students, community members, and staff from a diverse population.
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organization, planning, human relations, and teamwork skills.
Excellent computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Demonstrated commitment to supporting and participating in student activities and college events
Ability and temperament to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and distractions
Preferred
- Previous experience working in an educational or library setting.
- Previous experience working directly with the public
- In depth understanding of current trends in customer service
- Bachelors degree
Essential Functions
- Coordinate daily staffing schedule to ensure adequate staffing for ACE hours of operation
- Ensure accuracy and updates of ACE website
- Ensure operational effectiveness during hours of operation
- Ensure technology is operational by assisting with troubleshooting
- Ensure a clean and quiet environment that facilitates student success.
- Ensure voicemail greetings are updated each semester and as needed
- Order shared supplies and equipment prepare PO documents
- Assist with onboarding and initial training of new hires and volunteers
- Submit facilities, IT and maintenance tickets as needed
- Hire, onboard, and supervise student workers including timesheet approvals
- Gain an in-depth understanding of all ACE services
- Assist with data collection and submit monthly reports on ACE services

Supervisory Controls
Reports to the Dean of Student Success who reports to the Vice President of Student Services who reports to the President of the College. To accomplish the work of this position, the ACE manager will work closely with ACE staff and supervise day to day activities.

Position is expected to follow all Kaskaskia College policies and procedures, along with
all local, state and federal laws and regulations. Position is also expected to adhere to and promote College core values of compassion, honesty, respect, fairness, and responsibility.
Personal Relationships
Position will have daily contact with students, College employees, community members, and external agencies.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be able to work in a high-traffic office environment with frequent interruptions. Must be willing and able to travel to training sites as necessary. Flexible schedule required, including evening and weekend work as necessary.
